This training has been supported by Youth Business international (YBI) who have
collaborated with CAPYEI and others to develop a toolkit for supporting youth
entrepreneurship in the Green sector. These youth will ne be supported to apply their skills to the creation of businesses in the green sector. This will include immersion into Climate Smart Agriculture, which CAPYEI and Oljoro Foods Ltd have been demonstrating at the Madalena Farm.

The closing ceremony for the Nyandarua training was presided over by Hon Elijah Mwangi Nyaga, the Majority of the Nyandarua County Assembly. In his remarks Hon Nyagah commended the youth for attending the course and encouraged them to apply the skills they have learned. “Our Governor has put agriculture at the top of his agenda development in Nyandarua County” he said. “I see great potential to collaborate with programs like this one to help Nyandarua realise this vision for food security and youth employment.” The event, which was covered widely in the media, has raised a lot of interest among youth in Oljororok, to take part on future courses like this one.

Plans to offer the same training for youth from Nyeri County are now under way.
